“This endowment is a major commitment to help fund key research that bridges the gap from laboratory to clinical research, all made possible by our patients, who over the decades, have taught us a great deal about glaucoma,” said Dr Fellman. The funds will be directed to laboratory and clinical research of the eye’s natural drainage system, the portion of the eye that malfunctions and leads to damaging eye pressure. Patients are our best teachers, if you listen and observe carefully, oftentimes a patient’s signs or symptoms may unlock a key step in understanding glaucoma. These “pearls of wisdom” may be amplified and explored by research and by CGF spreading knowledge of glaucoma around the world. The research team at CGF has its pulse on the research and we have been actively involved in clinical research for over 40 years, with major contributions in the field. Let’s go to the next level together and make this legacy fund have an impact.

The names Marian and Julius Tills define caring philanthropy, also known as giving from the heart. They shared their love and kindness each and every day and are truly shining stars that will continue to be the light of our lives, forever sparkling in our hearts.
My Mother was a patient of Dr Fellman first, then my Father, and now my Son and myself.
Out of our deep feelings of love, respect and admiration for my Parents, it is our desire to honor their wonderful legacy through one of their personal passions with this Glaucoma Research Endowment Fund in honor of Dr Fellman’s utmost devotion to his patients and passion for the advancement of a cure for glaucoma. We are excited about his research on what causes glaucoma, and feel this fund will be a catalyst to a cure. Because of the way my Parents felt about Dr Fellman and since my son Rob and I have that same appreciation, we know my parents are each looking down with a gleam of love in their eyes that means “eye love you!”

Our Research Funding Philosophy
The mission of Cure Glaucoma Foundation (CGF) is to improve glaucoma care by funding transformational research, disseminating knowledge and expanding treatment availability through global outreach efforts
The founders of CGF believe that by joining together we can pool the collective brainpower of researchers, physicians, patients and volunteers to discover advanced treatments and a cure for this disease.
Research Committee
Cure Glaucoma Foundation’s Research Committee guides CGF’s mission to fund transformational and innovative research related to glaucoma. The research committee will develop and implement research selection strategies and determine research priorities for the Cure Glaucoma Foundation.
Committee members are responsible to the community and Board of Trustees for monitoring the implementation of research strategies, making recommendations for research projects for funding by CGF, reviewing grant applications and participating in the grant recipient selection processes.
